About Pleasantdale Nurseries Inc
Located at 240 Pleasant Valley Way, West Orange, NJ 07052, Pleasantdale Nurseries Inc operates as a plant nursery serving West Orange in New Jersey. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In West Orange, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in New Jersey, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.

Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 77 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded plant nurseries in West Orange.
West Orange is in New Jersey, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and West Orange follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This husband and wife nursery is the best! Guided us through the entire process with how to arrange, what to plant and are great experts! So sweet and pleasant and had a nice variety of plants and flowers. There indoor plant selection is also fantastic! My new go to for Spring and Summer needs! :)

I bought some tulips and a juniper bonsai around Easter and the owners could not have been nicer or more helpful. I wish I lived nearer by so I could shop there all the time.

We love coming here to buy our xmas tree, and coming back in the spring and fall for annuals and perennials. Always a great selection, and the owners are friendly, kind, and very knowledgeable about plants. The owners genuinely want to help over making a sale—for example we once came to buy spring annuals and the owner advised us to wait because there was an unseasonable cold streak ahead which we didn’t know about. The flowers would have died if we had planted that day as we were planning to do—so really appreciated the kind heads up. On another occasion, the owner pointed out when a plant I chose wasn’t the healthiest and helped me select a replacement. Excellent service, reasonable prices, and warm family owned atmosphere.

Jerry and his wife are lifesavers! They have always helped us with our plant needs, from housewarming gifts for friends, to the flood garden in our backyard, and from our front lawn to our fall pumpkins! Jerry and his wife are so kind, and offer the best prices around. So glad to live so closeby!

Absolutely loved the way the plants were setup inside the shop...... they have suggestions written down on the grass seeds. Their mature plant nursery section is truly unique, we have some of the stuff and we know those take years to grow to that size ! VERY reasonable for the size. (Japanese maple also !!) PS: The nice owner came by and gave me a small flowering plant!!! even though we just made a list and didn't buy anything yet.
